i accidentally hit my head on the edge of a hard wooden sofa
so rite now i may have sufferred a short term memory lost
when i look at ppl whom i know, i will say to myself "hmm, i know this person. she looks familiar" after a few seconds, i realised she is my best friend.
one night, i said to my boyfriend that i nvr been to that place. when actually we had been there once on a date. i tried thinking back but i can't remember anything.
is this short term memory lost or something?
please help me

When did you hit your head, you could have a concussion or minor abnesia from it, are your pupils diolated? If so, and the injury was longer than 48 hrs ago, you need to go to the doctor, unless you hit your head tonight, then you should go to the E/R, and don't go to sleep!.

Much the same symptoms began for me after getting whiplash from a car accident.
I think you are on the right track.

Now it's time to get it checked out by a Dr. to make sure that is the extent of your damage.

I many times have relatively undesirable short term memory, while i'm under lots of tension. i could no longer even inform you what I did the day earlier as we communicate, with out questioning approximately it authentic no longer elementary. all of it meshes which comprise the different days..

this is deffinatly something that you should talk to your doctor about. when you hit your head did it knock you out and did you go to the doctor? you could be suffering from short term memory loss. and it could be temperary so you should see a doc only they can tell you the answer to this question. hope this helps and good luck
