we bought the pay per view event, we say de la hoya won, it looked rigged though, not at all what we expected...

Dear Fireflygirl,
i was very disappointed in the fight. Floyd fought a smarter fight (if that's what you want to call it). There were very few spirited exchanges and i'm not sure why Oscar didn't keep jabbing cuz that seemed to be the one thing that was working. It was like watching a game of cat and mouse.
Considering all the hype it makes me hesitant to pay $54.95 again to watch a fight...

it wasn't what i expected either, but I do think Mayweather out punched De la Hoya. I was personally offended that Mayweather thought it was acceptable to don the colors and symbols of the Mexican flag to intimidate De la Hoya. It was unnecessary. In the end, I think De la Hoya put up a fairly good fight, though it wasn't enough to stop Mayweather. I also think Mayweather underestimated De la Hoya. He kept saying that it would be a "massacre," but it was far from that. I think I'll wait patiently for the rematch...

de la hoya was robbed he had a much better fight and of course meyweather was an a-s-s about it, even meyweather senior said de la hoya won it
