I wouldn't recommend going to a chiropractor. Their treatment is only a "temporary fix" and it will not treat your problem it will only temporarily help any pain. Also, they don't have any research supporting the effectiveness of their spinal manipulations. Sometimes their spinal manipulations can make matters worse if you have hypermobile vertebral discs (this happened to a friend of mine). The insurance doen't cover treatment for chiropractors in most states either. I would recommend in going to your physician and getting referred to physical therapy or occupational therapy and have the insurance cover it. They also follow evidence based practice (their treatments have been researched). Hope this helps.
