I have a tiny chihuahua..She is already Pee Pad Trained but really want to get her into a litter pan. She just isnt going for it. Any tips or suggestions? She is very tiny for a chihuahua and already full grown. She is only about 10" long. So going outside isn't an option. Thank you in advance

Hello..well you can slowly start moving the wee pad towards the litter box..and also add her potty to the litter box...that might do it...just remember NO CLUMPING LITTER for or around dogs...it clumps in them if they eat any of it & some dogs do eat their poo...then you have serious problems ..so any litter is good, just never clumping..Take Care :)

Hi Joycee...Friends just had a litter of 8 Maltese and decided to potty train the pups before selling them. They did what you did, training them to go on the pads arranged around the house. This seemed to work so they graduated to putting one pad in the spare room bathtub.
Sure enough when we came back weeks later the pups had learned to use the bathtub.......Can you picture the 8 puppies and their mom jumping into the tub at the same time????
Obviously this isnt the guest bathroom anymore!
Good Luck and let me know if this works. Your dog seems too tiny to jump in and out of a tub.
PS I swear that I didnt make this up!

I have one too-put the peepee pad into the littler pan for a few days then put a the litter in and put the pad on top- then cut down the pads or try to put a piece of the peepee pad that she has gone on into the pan on top of the litter-good luck-.

please dont try to liter train these little ones because the liter hurts their little feet. you know that is why they may not be going in the liter box.
