There isn't anything about rapture in the Bible
Personally i believe the right wing Christians made it up to scare people into Christianity, which i think is the wrong way to go about teaching religion. (Also so Kirk Camron could star in those horrible Left Behind movies)

The Roman Soldier's answer was pretty good.
Those who tell you that the rapture isn't in the Bible either have never read the Bible or they weren't paying attention.
Its there.
The people who claim the teaching started in the 1800's are also probably the same people who think Dan Brown is an excellent theologian.
The word "rapture" itself appears in 1 Thess 4:17. That one word is translated "caught up" in most English Bibles.
However if you read the Greek New Testament you won't find it there either.
"Rapture" or "Rapturous" appears in the Latin Vulgate, a translation of the Bible in Latin which was completed in about 405 AD.
For over 1,000 years that Latin Vulgate was the official Bible of Rome, so all the theologians who wrote between 405 AD and the 1600's would have used that term to describe that event.
Lots of theological terms which we use every day originated in the Latin language, such as the word, "Trinity"!
Supercalifragilisticexpialidotious was not one of them.

Most of what you will read about the end times are pre-millennial views: the view that Christ's return will usher in a future millennium of Messianic rule mentioned in the book of Revelation before the final judgment. The believers of this doctrine also hold to the notion of a Rapture of the righteous beforehand.
Then there are mixtures involving the views of the seven year tribulation and whether it is happening now, occurs later, etc.
1. Amillennialists believe that God's promises regarding the end times are figurative and will not be literally fulfilled, particularly the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ on the earth.
2. Pre-millennialists believe that Jesus Christ will return to the earth prior to His literal reign on the earth for 1000 years. Three groups of pre-millennialists include the following:
3. Post-tribulationists believe that the rapture will not occur until the end of the seven year tribulation, just prior to the beginning of the millennial kingdom.
4. Mid-tribulationists believe that the rapture will occur three and one half years into the tribulation, at beginning of the three and one half year great tribulation.
5. Pre-tribulationists believe that the rapture will occur prior to the seven year tribulation, but not necessarily immediately before the tribulation.
These doctrines all fall under the general heading known as the study of end times, or eschatology.
For explanations of the various eschatological beliefs see: http://www.religioustolerance.org/millenni.htm

The tribulation will occur after the entire world has heard the Gospel and will have to make a choice of whether to believe and follow Jesus or the Antichrist (who will claim to be Christ). The rapture is the return of Jesus for His people at the end of the tribulation. The first link below should be helpful.

Supporters of the doctrine of the rapture generally cite the following primary sources[13] in the New Testament (the following are quoted from the NRSV):
"Listen, I will tell you a mystery! We will not all die, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed." (1 Corinthians 15:51–52)
"For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will by no means precede those who have died. For the Lord himself, with a cry of command, with the archangel's call and the sound of God's trumpet, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be with the Lord for ever." (1 Thessalonians 4:15–17)
"He [Christ] will transform the body of our humiliation so that it may be formed to the body of his glory, by the power that also enables him to make all things subject to himself." (Philippians 3:21)
"In my Father's house there are many dwelling-places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also." (John 14:2–3)
"It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. On that day no one who is on the roof of his house, with his goods inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. Remember Lot's wife! Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left." (Luke 17:30-35)

All 3 view have their good and undesirable factors. The pre-trib view seems to be the weakest. i'm in my opinion vulnerable to have confidence that a mid-trib or a positioned up-trib Rapture makes greater experience interior the sunshine of Scripture, however the significant element is to be waiting to bypass on each and every occasion He calls me. after all, i'd desire to be hit via a truck crossing the line to the 7-11 this afternoon.

Pastor John Hagey is teaching in error he believes in a pre-tribulation "rapture". That is the removing of Christians believers from the earth before a 7 year tribulation period that kills most of the population on the earth. He doesnt know his bible and there are gonna be p-issed off members of his church when they find out they were lied to. Hopefully he wont be killed or he will come to realize he is wrong before its to late but i doubt it. Hes in his comfort zone. Gods about to remove it though.

There isn't anything in the Bible that mentions the rapture.
The teaching of the rapture took place in the 1800's after a 15 year old girl said she had a vision of what she called the rapture. The clergymen at the time took that as the gospel.

There is a thing about everyone being taken up.
Rapture, however, was a term coined by 15 year old Margaret McDonald in 1830 and Capitalized on by a New Age minister around 1860. It is not in the Bible.
