Peter, even though he denied Christ, he was bold. Remember when he stepped out on water with Jesus. All the disciples could have joined Jesus on the water. He was the only one bold enough to step out of the boat and walk with Jesus. Now he's the only one ever to do that. We all need to be bold enough to step out of the boat once in awhile.

Paul, because of how much he wrote about the Spirit. I think those who only use "apostle" for one of the original 12 or the one that replaced Judas are too narrow in their thinking. I believe Paul's description of how Jesus appeared to him. From his writing, it's clear Paul interaction with the Spirit didn't end there. So why can't he be the apostle to the gentiles with just as much authority as anyone else?

The apostle John because his writings in his gospel and three letters really speak to my heart. Also Revelations is awesome. I am also very fond of Peter and Paul.

John is one of my favorites. Why? He was closer to Jesus, then the rest of the Apostles. His gospel shows the fullness of Jesus. The other is Peter. Jesus placed His Church into Peter's hands and wanted Peter to lead His church and to bring us all into the fold.

Matthew followed closely by Matthew, because Matthew quotes Jesus, while others quote themselves
