Ummmm....
Have I missed something. Did I black out and am now suffering from some sort of post trauma amnesia?
I have not yet met an Atheist who relies on a Christian to keep the USA or any other country pure, clean and moral with good family values. And I don't come across too many Atheist's who are on the same side as Christians when it comes to abortion, homosexuality or the death penalty.
Can you please let me know the name/s of these so called Atheists?

Huh?
No one needs a Christian to know such thing ..... moreover, Christians accounts for more then 80% of USA Populations, that is not reliances on Christians, it is the fact Christians are the dominant group.
Anyway, While I do not condone abortion and death penalty, I have no axe to grind with gays. I do not need a christian's permission to have that thought .....
By the way, if good family values means pushing up divorce rates, then I am quite sure Christianity is doing a great job.

I am an atheist and I don't rely on Christians for anything.
Christians are not the only people to hold high moral values. You don't need a bible to tell you what is right and wrong. In fact, in my experience, many so called Christians use their religion as an excuse to hold bigoted narrow minded views.
And for the record I am pro-choice, pro-gay marriage and anti-death penalty - except maybe for pedophiles.

Which family values do you mean? I notice that the three leading Republican contenders for the 2008 nomination have five divorces among them -- or is it seven, honestly I can't keep track -- and all but one involved adultery.
I don't rely on Christians, or any other believers, for anything.
I think if women aren't free to have abortions then they aren't free. I see no reason why gays should have fewer civil rights than the rest of us. And I think the death penalty should be abolished, because nobody should have to explain to his adoring child: "Daddy is an executioner. That means I kill people for a living."

What the hell are you talking about? Morality has nothing to do with religion; religion took advantage of the natural human state and claimed it for its own.
As to the second part...Many atheists I know (and I'm not lumping them all together; as with every category people can be placed into, they run the gamut) are pro-choice, have no problem with homosexuality and don't support the death penalty. In other words, they stand counter to the mainstream Christian "values".

We don't rely on the poor morals of the christstains. The most immoral and unpure people around are the christer cultists. One just hast to look at the stats for prison inmates. The vast majority are christers.

They would be the last to admit they rely on us for morality much less guidance to important issues of our day.
Well that really is the problem with atheism isnt it? Not that some atheists choose to be moral, but inherantly it provides no objective foundation for morality whatsoever. Any atheist Ive ever talked to on this subject at length eventually admits that he or she believes that morality is subjective because the bottom line is they are forced to say that morality comes from humans and not a transcendent being. If morality comes from humans, then there is nothing objective about it!
If I tell you that an apple is red, grows on trees, is a type of fruit, and grown in Washington, Ive told you a set of objective statements about an apple. These have nothing to do with how anybody personally feels about apples nor did I have a hand in determining these facts. Now if I tell you I dont like eating apples but my brother does, I didnt really tell you anything about apples, only about me and my brother.
So invariably any answer you get from atheists is going to be just that, SUBJECTIVE. They will say "well I believe doing this is good for this reason" and "well I dont believe in that so much." A subjective moral viewpoint tells you so much about the person but it doesnt tell you squat about morality itself nor clearly objectively defines what is RIGHT or WRONG. Therefore what Hitler did wasnt WRONG, you just happen to disagree with it!
Its true you dont have to be Christian in order to hold to good morality. But you do need to be a theist in order to have a proper grounding and understanding of it. Otherwise, choosing good morality to the atheist may as well be as arbitrary as picking MCD's or Burger king, you arent obliged in any objective sense to pick either. Morality becomes a subjective picking and choosing what YOU think is right and wrong and not what is ACTUAL right and wrong.

I'd love for the Christians to take a little BREAK from their "mission", actually.
Some good "Christian" family values include:
Opposing hate crime legislation
Campaigning against a vaccination for a virus which is the primary cause of cervical cancer
Outlawing same sex marriage
Crying "oppression, vendetta, victim" when separation of church and state is upheld
