I want to learn the way how to cook a fish (big or small) that after cooking can be eaten with its bones, because my mother was expert for such a dish but unfortunately she is no more in this world to teach me, she died when I was not in the age to learn. I hope some one can help me to get the recipe !

you can either slow cook the fish in a crock por or on the stove top at a very slow temp. after cooking at high temp until the fish is seared and sealed. or you can cook in a pressure cooker.you also can smoke the fish on a smoker, however most people will screw that up because they want tu use a smoker like a grill. If you decide to smoke the fish, be sure to build your fire away from the food and slowly add small chips of soaked wood at a time so only the smoke cooks the meat and not direct heat. soak the wood for 24 hours in what ever you like i.e. whiskey, water. beer.

If it's a small fish you can deep fry it. Cover it with corn starch and deep fry at 350F for about 15 to 20 min until it's brown. If it's a whole entire fish, you would need the cut the stomach to it's back bone. I usually leave the deep fried fish in vinegar and soy sauce (4:1 ratio) with red chili and a little sugar for a night. The vinegar makes the bone even softer and if you use the right fish you'll be able to eat the whole thing. It's one of my favorite Japanese dishes

I find the people on YA hilarious, they'll take the time to write a question and wait for answers, that with 10 minutes of research, they could have found the answer on another web site that wouldn't include smart a55 answers like this one.

I've cooked one once. I used a recipe I found on Food Network. Pack in salt and baked in the oven. It was pretty good, I didn't like the head on the fish, but if you do more power to you.

Use a pressure cooker. 15 psi for about 20-30 minutes will make nearly all the bones brittle and chewable. It is still a good idea to pull out the largest bones.

As a small child I recall my grand mother cooking fish in a pressure cooker to soften the bones.
