whatever form you choose to call Him by should be capitalized -------His word--------our Father.....etc.-----this is done to draw attention you are referring to the Deity.
He was the Word. The Word was in Him.

Theocracy.
Whatever He wants, He gets.
Truthfully, I think it comes from the same reason that Judeo-Christians do not use the name of God. Calling Him Yahweh or Jehovah or Bob the God implies that the speaker is distinguishing Him from different gods (say, Steve the God). Since they recognize only this one god as existing, they call Him God because there is no chance of confusion.
With pronouns the "he" becomes vague again (to which male is the speaker referring?) and so they capitalize it to show reverence and singularity.
English language grammar has adopted this as precedent.
As an atheist I object to this, but as a cunning linguist and consummate believer in observing the laws of grammar I usually comply.

To show exceptional respect. "Exceptional" means the type only the greatest personality deserves, someone who is the most beautiful, most powerful, the strongest, the wealthiest, most famous, most knowledgable, and most renounced. These are the six opulences of God that only He can have in full, and that is one of the reasons (or six if you wish :) ) why He deserves the ultimate respect. You don't really have to capitalize if you don't wish to, but when you become a devotee of the Lord, you naturally do so...

Yes, all references to God are Capitalized, even pronouns.
In most translations when you see, in the Old Testament the word, LORD, spelled out in all uppercase letters, usually small UPPER case letters, the original Hebrew word is YHWH.
When it is spelled Lord, the word is often "Adoni" or "one to be adored".

When referring to God in either He or Him, it is not a pronoun, but a personal pronoun and it is also out of repsect, When "HE' or "HIM" is capitalized most people know that it is in reference to God
