Kitty: When you're angry, get it out. Punch a pillow
If you're depressed, see a doc and get some anti-depressants hon! Also take a lot of walks and get outside!

Hypnotism and autogenic training affect cerebral blood flow.
Depression and schizophrenia show some connection to cerebral blood flow.
Hypnotism means suppressing your anger against a hypnotist and focussing on a "hidden truth" instead of what your senses are actually telling you, and autogenic training is basically like this except you treat yourself as your own hypnotist. The sensory field that the hypnotist is pointing out is the one that you pay attention to. I don't recommend getting your anger out by screaming it out. That's superstitious. The thing is, you don't have to put up with people who aren't helping you or are telling you to accept some alternative viewpoint on reality.

The amount of energy it takes to feel bad, is the same amout of energy it takes to be happy! So buck up! Take that negative energy of yours, your boo hooing, your sickness etc. and turn it into positive energy! Tell a joke, enjoy the beauty of this world and life, be greatful to be alive etc. and above all realize there is always someone, somewhere, a hell of alot worse of than you are!!

Sometimes it is hard to get myself out of the funks. Being around friends and family helps sometimes, but honestly, I have had to MAKE myself get out of bed before and be around other people. And I always feel better. Exercise helps too. Once again, you may have to make yourself start, but once you do, I bet you will feel better.

depression is a horrible thing and it can make you so physically sick
my husband has it and it is depressing to see him!
I just try to count my blessing- may sound corny but it does put things in perspective
even if one person loves you or you have one thing going good for you - that's something!! and, I have to push myself to do things I don't want to- like, tonight, my husband and I had to make ourselves go to a wedding... we didn't want to go but we pushed ourselves and I had a good time... it's just getting there thats half the battle -
push, push, push!!

Sleep some, perhaps listen to music that reflects my mood. etc. Remember that God is there for you through all of your trials and tribulations.
