please check out the link below, according to this website your BMI, body mass index is fine and within a healthy weight range. I would suggest cutting out the junk food before bed or at the very least switching to low fat/fat free/ no sugar versions of what you are eating or buy snack size/single serving portions like the one hundred calorie packs of crackers and cookies. Drink plenty of water and if you are buying sodas in 2 liter bottles either buy diet or don't buy them at all. Try eating healthier as much as you can and keep a food journal for a week and write down EVERYTHING good and bad that you put in your mouth; you would be suprised at how much you probably eat when you don't even notice it. Get out if you can and walk even if it's 10 minutes at a time. Get a pair of small weights and do some weight training(there are websites and DVDs that can help you with a weight routine) You have to build up muscle to help burn any fat, cardio will help burn calories but you need to be careful with your knee. Don't freak out over the body fat percentage of 23%, I don't think that is right. If exercise is hard for you then talk to your friends and see if they will go walking with you or if you have neighbors that have a dog volunteer to take him for a walk every afternoon anything to get out of the house and away from potentially bad food. It's hard but give it your best effort and be sensible about how you go about this. I lost 25 pounds by doing just what I told you to do, it wasn't easy but it's worth it. Talk with your parent(s) and enlist their help and be active in the grocery shopping and menu planning so that way you can be sure that healthy foods are coming into the house. I don't really think you need to lose weight, just tone up and change your eating habits a bit. Above all don't get obsessed with scale numbers and make sure that you reward yourself for your hard work and effort, get a pedicure when you been eating healthy for two weeks or buy a CD when youv'e exercised for an entire week(no food rewards) whatever will get you motivated and keep you going. Good Luck!

I personally do not think that teenagers should go on a diet because their body isn't finished growing. But there are ways you can help yourself out.
First, yes eating right before you go to bed, no matter if it is junk food or anything else, is not healthy, because you do not burn fat while you sleep as apposed to when you are awake.
Second, if you hurt your knee last summer you should have recovered from the injury and should have been put on light exercise. You do not have to be into sports to do exercise at home, walking around the block, sit ups, crunches things like that.
Third, and to me, most important, it is how you feel about yourself. If you think you look alright at the weight you are at, then other people are the ones that have the problem.
I hope this helps, I wish you luck, and stay beautiful.

Yes, it is unhealthy to right before bed especially junk food. You shouldn't eat 2 hours before bed. So if you have a normal bed time cut yourself off 2 hours before hand. Obviously I don't know you, but you should eat healthy and try to do physical activity/workout 3-5 times a week. Regardless of what you look like it is just a good idea to be healthy on the inside as well.

5'4" female who weighs 114 equals a BMI of 20%. Measure your waist at the smallest part - 32" seems big for your size.
Start walking or swimming 3 - 5 times a week. It will keep your metabolism revved up, helping to maintain your weight.
Do 3 sets each of situps, obliques, curlups, and pushups. These flatten your belly, whittle your waist, and 'perk' up your bosom!
All these muscles will keep your back strong, and help you get in shape after you have a baby and need to chase then around.
P.S. There are several ladies in my neighborhood who do this, and they all look great - 30, 40, 50, 60 year olds!

Brilliant Idea: Stop eating junk right before bed. Sounds like you're fishing for "omGgz!!11 Ur soo0o not fat!!1" comments, but in either case, avoiding crap food before bed can't hurt.
Sorry, but I typically detest "Am I fat" questions. About your knee, you need to get that taken care of before you exert yourself. Is it going to be an on-going problem, or will a short resting period take care of it?

Well for now your okay. I think you should stop eating junk food before bed because it is bad. You don't digest it properly and you have no way of buring any amount of the calories you eat because your going righ to sleep. If you do eat at night try fruit or something healthier.

no not really because that is the time were you go the longest with out having food. like from 10pm to 7am is 10 hour that you have gone with out eating when between meals it is usually like 7am to 1pm which is only 5 hour, half the time. that is why you want to eat a good meal before you go to sleep and a good breakfast to help your stomach after going so long without eating.
