In a health care setting, we usually don't draw blood cultures or treat a fever until it reaches 101F. In a child, febrile seizures can happen at any temperature if it goes up too quickly or falls too rapidly - usually over 103F. Brain death and seizures in adults usually happen at temperatures greater than 106F. Hope this helps!
