It's interesting how people make up new words and then try to use them as weapons.

I suppose by the tone of your question that you had in mind people who are afraid of homosexuals when you use the term "Homo-phobics"?

Think about it .
If you are for or in favor of homosexuality, would you EVER call one of them a "homo" to their face?
They might consider that an insult.

But then if you are into etymology you would know that homo basically means "same".
So then your word "Homo-phobics" means "same fear of".

Some folks just like to contribute flatulence on the back side of the fan that blows on humanity.

Probably there are no homo-phobics in this section and very few in this world. The term homophobic means someone with an irrational and overwhelming fear of people who identify themselves as having a homosexual orientation. Just like claustrophobic means someone who has an irrational and overwhelming fear of being in a closed in space.

I doubt that there are too many people who have a such a fear unless they have been abused by people like that when they were young or something like that. The idea that men have a fear of homosexual men because they think that they might be "gay" at heart is an overblown fantasy perpetrated by the sorry souls who are in bondage to that sinful lust.

Romans 1:22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. 24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.

That's the bad news. The good news is that God loves them like He does all of the other lost sinners and if they turn to Him then He will forgive them and give them the power to live a changed life in Christ just like He did for me who was formerly a agnostic drunkard and a fornicator.

1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such WERE some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Do you mean people who are actually afraid of homosexuals?

Or merely people who do not think that the lifestyle is right?

I'm thinking you are implying the latter, and the last time I checked people still had the freedom of speech. Without being labeled all sorts of names.

I do not think it is natural, nor right. Nor am I afraid of homosexuality. What-so-ever. I love how if I don't agree, then I must be afraid of it.

Wow! Firstly, it is non of my bees wax. Secondly it is rather odd that since God created some of us uniquely, he would then condemn those folks he created. Thirdly, the original Bible text did not condemn homosexuality, it simply condemned disharmony between a man and his wife ( on a woman's lyings - which was a name for a woman's wedding bed. Which was deleted -I hope by accident- by those who translated the Bible into English)

Of course, Paul condemned it, cause Paul, well, he was what he was??.

sorry for rambling

Not afraid of homosexuality, those who are enslaved by those desires have the right to know that through Jesus they can be set free from those desires. They have a choice just like everybody else. this sin is no different then any other sin.

I'm not afraid of homosexuals, I believe that it is a perversion and deviant behavior but that doesn't mean I'm afraid.

I wonder why they keep trying to force everyone else into accepting their lifestyle choice?

Perhaps you should look up the definition of "phobic". I know a lot of people who recognize homosexuality as a psychosocial disorder, and homosexual acts as a violation of the will of God; but I don't think I know anyone who has an irrational fear of people who suffer from this disorder.

i don't believe I'm a homophobic. I don't like what they do, however its just one part of them and doesn't describe them completely and isn't who they are as a whole. I'm not saying its right.
