I'm 13 years old and am in 8th grade. I have a crush on this guy at school who is popular. He goes to my church and at youth group he always says hi to me. He's also in my english class and sits behind me. He talks to me sometimes, and sometimes kicks me (in a playful way, not in a mean way) and taps my back and stuff, but he flirts with a lot of girls. A ton of girls at my school like him and he's popular and stuff, is there any way I have a chance with him? I really just wanna be his friend, and since I see him at church and stuff it wouldn't be too hard. Any tips for becomming his friend? Do you think he notices me at all, or does he just treat me like every other girl? Help!

He's treating you like he treats other girls. You have an even chance, just get to know him. If you want to be his friend, just talk to him. Or start from online conversations, ask homework help, make fun of events in english class, maybe hang out with his friends and then lead to him.

He sounds like a flirt, but I think you have the potential to be his friends since he knows you and says hello to you. Try and join circles where you would be able to spend more time with him either at church or school. There has to be some social things the church does, and if they don't maybe you should recommend things or take a more active role in church. It'll only put you in the spotlight where he'd notice you more! I don't think you'll have a hard time to be friends with him since you don't have to compete so much for his attention at church as opposed to school. Just be fun and outgoing.

Yes. If he plays around with you, there's always a chance. I am open and helpful to everyone who is nice and responsive, but only "kick" or "tap the shoulder" of a girl I really want to get the attention of. Just for your reference and so you think my answer is accurate, I was pretty socially active in high school. Voted most frequently pictured. First of all, forget about the fact that he's "popular" that makes absolutely no difference. If he likes you, he likes you and if he doesn't , he doesn't, his popularity or status has nothing to do with it, even if it seems like it does, trust me he's just a normal person. Obviously he already likes you, you can't be sure if it's just as a friend or as more than a friend, so start of by being HIS friend. Talk to him at church, ask him about himself, just be outgoing and you will definately be friends. After that, you never know what will happen but the most important thing is: TALK TO HIM!

The best way to get a guy like this is for it not to matter to much. Guys like this know alot of girls like them and the one that plays it cool (not icy) just cool usually prevails. Be nice, but not too nice. Don't get all flitty when he's near. Treat him like a brother or something, that'll make him interested in you. I learned a long time ago, it works best when the guy wants you and not the other way around.

Well if he talks to you he notices you. And you have just as good of chance as any other of his girl pals. Just talk to him more! Get to know him. always smile at him and say hey w/e his name is when he walks by.

Caually talk to him. It's not going to hurt. Like if you pass him by one day after services or something, stop and say whats up?. it doesnt hurt a bit.

maybe he just has that big ego popular guys have. [hate it]
but just talk to him like you would talk to one of your other guy friends when you are with him. . if you are friendly, he will be too.
