4) Being told that I'm loved because I am the most deliciously wonderful, lovable, and brilliant person on the earth.
It's an ego boost, you know?
Ah, I guess I'll stick with number 3. The first two are fairy tales, =)

Hallo Eislaender
The First 2 Are Important.
Yes Jesus Loves You And Wants You To Accept You As His Child. The Rest Is Up To You.
God Bless

The first two and the last one are different types of love. Of course the third is more immediate and material BUT you may also feel God's love just as strongly. Also just like you doubt the first 2 sometimes, the third does seem doubtful at times - what looks good at a moment might be unrealistic in the long run.

As for 1 and 2, they're the same person. And I know they love me for who I am, reguardless of what that is. So if I choose 1 and 2, I also choose the rest, including 3. So it makes sense to choose either 1 or 2.

Well, since God and Jesus are both part of the Trinity, one and two can go together. I would choose those. I believe you are implying that God doesn't love you if you do certain things, which isn't true at all! It is the sin that God doesn't like. God loves you so much that He knows every hair on your head.
The last one isn't that uncommon for me, though. I guess it is all about who you hang out with.
Thanks for your time. I love you, e-mail me if you need anything.

Well, being told that G-d loves me. Since G-d is eternal and infinite, he's not likely to take it back. Unlike humans who get scared or vengeful or angry.
Jesus loving me is great, except I don't think that Jesus was the Messiah let alone the son of G-d. But hey, if he loves me that's good too.
I've been told the last by two people. One of which I am now married to. The other I was engaged to for years, and I ended up leaving because I found him cheating after I flew around the world to see him. He was sleeping with another woman while he wrote to me and talked to me about how much he wanted to marry me!
My husband not withstanding, most people say things in order to get something in return. I know my husband loves me for me.

It doesnt matter which one you want more. If you have the love of God then you have the love of Jesus. And if someone is important enough to deserve to be in your life then they will love you for who you are and all the other things wont matter.

This is a great question, but I think you have missed the point in a way. As we study the Bible and other holy writings, the only conclusion we can come to is that God loved us enough to create us with the ability to choose to love Him, even though He knew many would not. In point of fact, the flip response that "God loves you" or "Jesus loves you" to a world that is desperate for hope and real love and acceptance causes great harm to the way that all of us view the source of that love and of life--God himself.
When it is all said and done, saying that we love someone is meaningless. We fall in and out of love all the time as humans, and we are fickle, gullible, and easily swayed by our emotions. Yes, it is a wonderful thing to be in love, but it hurts to know that the ones we love will cause us pain and anguish. Knowing that, do we still choose to love and expend our emotions on them? That is what Christ did on the cross.
Your ability to love comes from one source--that is God himself. Whatever your view on the character of God, and however you have been wronged by people who claim to know Him and speak for Him, you can go directly to His Word and hear what He has to say. He has promised that those who seek Him will find Him.
At the end of the day, when we tell someone we love them, and we truly would give ourselves for them, we show the kind of love that God did when He sent His Son to die for us. You actually are saying that, in spite of the fact that someone will hurt you, you CHOOSE to love them anyway--that is a divine expression. I am not trying to be sententious about this, but you cannot love outside of God--you are incapable of that.
Thanks for a great question and I hope that you find answers on your journey. He is already preparing your heart for the truth...

I agree with you.
But alsothis tends to mean more because that one is told to you directly by a real person....with real emotions and real feelings, and physically there. The first two are told by a real person about somebody nobody has ever met, etc. And plus if you don't believe in god, than the first two statements aren't worth anything to you.

Unfortunately, it's only words and actions speak louder. They can show their love for this World by getting the religions to agree on God. Without that, religion/sectarian violence will never end and more people (the ones that God loves) will lose their lives.
