Are you on a diet? I'm on the weight watchers diet and I lost 30 pounds in three months. By losing 2-3 lbs a week. Healthy weight loss doesn't come off 'fast'. You've got to have patience, and be committed in order for any diet or weight loss to work. Drink lots of water ( 8 glasses a day at least) and watch what you eat, eat fat free foods, stay away from sugar as much as you can, and watch the size of your portions. Eat fruits, and veggies when you feel the need to snack. Don't eat at all late at night. I'd advise not to give yourself a certain amount of time to lose the weight you want, because its not going to fall off over night. You will have to work at it, exercise, and change the way you eat, what you eat, and how much you eat. If you do that, before you know it, you'll have dropped those pounds you want to lose. You don't say how old you are,orwhat you weigh now,but...
You can probably lose 1-2 pounds a week safely.
1] no fried, fast, or junk food - not even diet junk food
2] eat 2 servings [ size of the palm of your hand ] protein daily
3] eat 2 servings dairy [ check package for serving size ]
4] eat 3 servings whole grains [ check package ]
5] eat 2 fruits
6] eat 3 veggies [ not fried, no sauces ]
7] take a multivitainwith minerals every day
8] drink a lot of water - every time you go in the kitchen, every timeyou go to the bathroom -drink! It will help your body flush out all the crud
9] walk, swim, dance, run, or bike for 30" 6 x a week10] do 3 sets of 10 each - pushups, situps, obliques, and curlups.
When you get stronger, you can progress to weight lifting, or join a gym and talk to a trainer.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Remember: This diet should only be followed for 7 days at a time, with at least two weeks in between.
Day One:
Fruit: Eat all of the fruit you want (except bananas). Eat only your soup and the fruit for the first day. For drinks- unsweetened teas, cranberry juice and water.
Day Two:
Vegetables: Eat until you are stuffed will all fresh, raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. Try to eat leafy green vegetables and stay away from dry beans, peas and corn. Eat all the vegetables you want along with your soup. At dinner, reward yourself with a big baked potato with butter. Do not eat fruit today.
Day Three:
Mix Days One and Two: Eat all the soup, fruits and vegetables you want. No Baked Potato.
Day Four:
Bananas and Skim Milk: Eat as many as eight bananas and drink as many glasses of skim milk as you would like on this day, along with your soup. This day is supposed to lessen your desire for sweets.
Day Five:
Beef And Tomatos: Ten to twenty ounces of beef and up to six fresh tomtoes. Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water this day to wash the uric acid from your body. Eat your soup at least once this day. You may eat broiled or baked chicken instead of beef (but absolutely no skin-on chicken). If you prefer, you can substitute broiled fish for the beef one one of the beef days (but not both).
Day Six:
Beef and Vegetables: Eat to your heart's content of beef and vegetables this day. You can even have 2 or 3 steaks if you like, with leafy green vegetables. No Baked Potato. Eat your soup at least once.
Day Seven:
Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables: Again stuff, stuff, stuff yourself. Be sure to eat your soup at least once this day.

Make sure you eat three meals a day but try to cut down on snacks.
if you feel like a snack try eatng fruits, nuts etc.
sit ups really help tone you stomach and try and exercise every day.
