I've been told that I look intimidating in the hallways..and thats why most guys don't approach me. I don't know why people think this... because I smile and wave to people in the hallway, so my question to you is..What could I do to make myself look more "approachable"?

there is always a chance that you do not smile when you are looking at people you dont know. i had the same problem. people believed me to be unapproachable. when i asked why they said i always looked busy or determined and i also walked fast. i never realized i was like this at all and always thought i looked happy. maybe try to smile more as you walk and let your personality show.

Act confident, and in time you will start to become confident. Keep smiling, and keep conversations casual and teasing. Talk to him in the way you would talk to your best friend, or someone else you feel confident around. Remember, guys are people as well- you don't have to treat them like a different species. If you were with your parents, the guy would probably be hesitant to ask you out, as people watching makes it harder, especially if it's the girl's parents! Try to spend some time with him in a group and then, when you feel relaxed around him, work up to spending time together alone.

Just be yourself, it's better than trying to 'look approachable'. Trying to take on a type of personality you don't have only makes you seem fake and desperate. The type of guy that is right for you will like the way you look and won't find it intimidating. Be true to yourself!

I've had problems with this, too. Try and take initiative to approach others, don't jjust wait for them to approach you. Keep smiling, be patient, and you'll find great people who will get to know you and like you for *you*, not some false facade you put out there-that's not the right way to get noticed.

From your picture there, I don't know what everyone is telling you. You look approachable to me. If you have to change, I guess it would just be to smile more fi you don't already. I was told that i wasn't approachable and then, I smiled. And stuff happened. Good Luck

oh jeeze i know just what you mean. I get the same thing. People think that i'm extremely stuck up when before they talk to me. When really i'm not stuck up at all. I don't understand it.
