We study the King James Version of the Bible. We believe it to have the closest to correct translations of the bible. We love the Bible as it has so many of the miracles that Christ performed.

We also have the Book of Mormon. This is another testament of Christ and talks about His visit to the American continent after his resurrection.

I have spoken with Mormons before...they believe the Holy Bible is problematic, and that the Book of Mormon is the most perfect book available to man. Their book does not support anything the Bible teaches...especially in regard to the state of the dead, the ultimate destruction of Satan, the preexistence of Christ, the state of the priesthood after Christ was resurrected and ascended to heaven...and the methodology of revelation. Angels according to Joseph Smith's novel, the Book of Mormon, are enlightened dead people. The Holy Bible teaches that dead people know nothing...and angels were around before people were. So do you remember when you were a spirit child being born in heaven so you could come to earth to go through this world to become a god? The Bible does not teach any of that rubbish. I watched the Mormons doing their study of their 4 books...they have the KJV Bible to prop their Book of Mormon on it at an angle for easier viewing. The other two books (Covenant of something or other, and the life of Joseph Smith and how he decided to become a thief in order to produce his own novel and create his own religion) were read nearly as much as the BOM but I could not get them to show me in the Holy Bible where any of their fantasies were proven.

Yes, both old and new testament. We study the King James Version. We do not study it to dispute it. We believe that Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and His teachings. We believe the Bible to be word of God as long as it's translated correctly. This is why we use the King James Version. It has been translated the least ammount of times. Without the Bible, we could not fully understand the Book of Mormon and vise versa. They go hand in hand and are equally important. A lot of our teachings and religious beliefs are deeply rooted in the Bible and couldn't be true gospel if anything from the bible was removed from our religion.

We study it to disprove it? Give me a break.

We study the KJV of the Bible and it is as important as the Book of Mormon, they go hand in hand with one another and I do not believe the gospel is complete without them both.
We are currently studying the New Testament this year in Sunday School and learning many wonderful things. We study it because it is scripture, not to disprove it. One proves the validity of the other.

i've got faith in the bible and the e book of Mormon. i'm LDS. the only way one can somewhat earnings solutions is from God, by skill of praying, fasting, analyzing, and then receiving and answer on your prayers. guy can not "tell" you what faith is suited or incorrect, merely the Lord can. I even have prayed, studied and had many religious studies that have been a witness to me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only thoroughly genuine church on earth. Many different religions have stable - they do all stem from the suited faith taught to Adam and Eve... the genuine and finished gospel replaced into restored to the earth after the boy Joseph Smith prayed to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, spoke with them, and replaced into steered on restoring the genuine church and the completed gospel.

They believe in the Bible as long as it is translated correctly. This translates into they believe the bible as long as it is made to sound the way that suits the strange doctrines of the Mormon Church. For example 1 Corinthians 15:29 in regards to baptism of the dead when Paul is talking about the pagans baptising for the dead and whilst there is no real thing spoken against it it is clear from this passage he is referring to a pagan ritual and certainly not a christian one.

Yes they study the King James Version bible, and then they also have the Book of Mormon in which they study from both, and neither one is considered higher than another.

There is no such thing as the Mormon Bible. The Bible that LDS (Mormons) follow is the King James Version. We (I am LDS) believe it to be the Word of God. Also, we believe the Book of Mormon, which is another witness that Jesus Christ really lived, to be the Word of God. The Book of Mormon is not an addition to, or a replacement of the Bible...it is merely a companion to the Bible. Hope this helps.

Great Grandma... I'm Mormon and I study the Bible every single day! The real name of the "Mormon" church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Church teaches that the Bible is the word of God and teach and are taught by it all the time. We live by it's teachings.

I study it to learn about Christ and his teachings not to disprove it. I know the Bible is God's word! I know Christ is the Savior of the world.

Have a good day! :)
