I won't totally disagree with you?
Yes there is a section of people like that in India.
I would like to stress 'particular section'.
And unfortunately even to Indians this appears to be India.

It also depends on which face of it you look at.
This characteristic is generally found in higher middle class or lower high class urban or suburban Indians.I think these are the people you have met.

Now the majority of us(I'm an Indian) which belong to villages or lower middle class(about 80%) are known for their open hearts, Innocence with no knowledge of art of eloquence or even minor Business skills. We are also very emotionally sensitive.

And all we know is what in our heart.

Again as for forcing people to eat U may find it every where in India. It Something like Part of our culture.

Indians have heart with feelings, they are not like mechanical instruments to switch on or switch off.
u should also have same kind of heart to feel the real love behind their concerns
regarding money, yes, some of them expect that a foreigner gives money they think it will have greater value and another way of showing u too like them and this is the case only those families which are not really well off

It's a shame you have only met or come across a Small band of merry Indians. Are you sure there not native to where you come from? Most Indians (and I'm assuming you mean from the Sub continent) are very decent, upright people with integrity to match. Try getting out more, and maybe a little less stereotyping will change your bigoted mind!

Thank you very much for being sooo kind.

These generalisations are almost always exaggerated.

We Indians are basically nice people( With exceptions)

To avoid hurting the sentiments we tend to say yes, when we want to say "NO" and vice-versa.
There is no intent to cheat or lie, It is taught to be respectful to others. and hence this particular behaviour.

Forcing others to eat more is again considered as a sign
of hosts goodwill towards the Guest. , In fact Indian guests

may not be very happy, if they are not asked to eat more. These are age old customs and do not mean any harm.

They have a nice heart when it comes to food. They want the guest to eat more. They r not as rich as any other ppl in other countries. They need money. most of them r shy to ask money. May be that's y they like that. But what ever it is Indians r good in heart.

You MUST stop asking questions about India and Indians, especially ignorant ones like this. None of the things you mention are the case with all Indians, nor are they exclusive to Indians.

it's love!
bcoz they care for u
they respect ur sentiments
people in India don't eat more at their own, they need somebody who insist to eat more!
money-it may be their expectation, but they expect something with love and not forcefully, not hurting somebody.
it depends on ur understanding. don't sick to the words, try to catch the meaning, the feelings behind the words!
