Mail goes by weight as well as zip/zone address.

You would need the amount of postage for that weight and zip address.

Example : you put a 39 cent stamp on a letter that weighs 8 oz. The post office says that a letter weighing that much costs 78 cents. You would need to place an additional 39 cent stamp on that envelope to = the 78cents required .

It usually means two stamps instead of one (especially when it is a large card) but the best thing to do is mail it at the post office where they can weigh it and tell you exactly what the extra postage is.

Take it to the post office to have it weighed and stamped with the exact postage, that way you don't over pay by adding too many stamps.

You need to put more than ONE stamp on it. It's usually because it's heavier than a normal letter. I've sent those musical cards to people and always have to put extra postage.
