i have thick, wavy hair and using the conair infiniti hair designer hair dryer (that's a mouthful lol) gets it straight but poofy and i normally still have to take a flat iron to it. It works well, and avoids a lot of frizz problems, but it's not going to get you hair like perfectly straight

Thick, curly hair is the biggest challenge for any hair equipment. Conair has long been a quality name in hair dressing, and now they sell to the public. It's worth a try as a dryer. As to straightening, I have my doubts. But I have not seen it anywhere to see what their purpose was.
Up till now the best way to temporarily straighten hair has been "The True Ceramic" hair straightener. It's a ceramic flat iron that does a very good job, unlike what most flat irons on the market today.
