If they are small, on the underside, (by his bottom) and look like rice, they are worms and you need to have your dog treated by a Vet to properly get rid of them. Do not try the wormers at walmart or etc. They can make your dog very sick.
If they are on a sore on your dogs tail, they could be maggots, and you need to get your dog to the Vet ASAP !!!
P.S. Take a fresh stool specimen from your dog to the Vet to make sure it does not have any other worms.

It is most likely tapeworms cause by ingesting a flea, you will need to got to the vet and take a stool sample with you, as the dog could possibly have other types of worms as well, the vet will check for all types and their give the correct medicines,
The type of dewormers sold in stores won't work for tapeworm plus can be very dangerous for some dogs, some have died as a result so only use those obtained from a vet

You say larva, but I wonder if it isn't tape worms. In which case you have a disgusting tasting bunch of tablets to give your dog.
If it's tapeworms... check prices as they vary greatly.

It's worms. He needs to be dewormed asap. They aren't harmful to you because they are carried and transfered through flees and things. But they are probably taking up a good portion of the nutrition your dog needs and his body's probably not getting a god portion of the water he's drinking. The worms are living inside him, by the way, not on his tail, although they crawl out of him (through his butt if you havn't already guessed it, yeah, ew.) and crawled up his tail.

they are probably tapeworms..if they are white and rice shaped thats what they are....you need to take him/her to your local vet and have them deworm your dog. Tapeworms multiply rapidly and can cause great damage to your dog, not to mention spread to you! There are over the counter tapeworm pills but I have found that they are not as effective as the medication your vet will administer. Good luck!

sound like worms to me, you will need to worm them, you can get at a Farm & Ranch store or a vet. You will need to make sure you give the right dose and make sure you pick up the dropping and get them in the trash as to not give the worms to any onther animals in the area (wild ones) who can give it back to your dog. Have fun inline

Take your dog to a vet ASAP. Your dog needs medication to treat the infestation and to get back to health!

It is probably parasites that have decided that your dog should be its host. It would be very good if you got them off because leaving them on can cause parasitic infections. I hope your dog has them removed soon enough for him to be free of infection. Good luck.

If you can see it, it's probably tape worm. You can get two pills from your vet that will cure it. Don't just let it go, it will kill your dog. Good luck!
