If abortion is wrong because it ends a life?
Why is it okay to consider how this affects the mother to go through the pregnancy in the case of rape or incest, but if a mother has an unwanted pregnancy in any other case, it is wrong to abort a child?
The child has no choice in the matter and the pregnancy is not that child's fault.
To me, there is no difference between a child born out of a rape and a child born through an unplanned pregnancy. It's a termination of life in either case. So why do you feel it's okay to terminate that life if it's created through a rape?

Wanzanna, I'm not obsessed with aborting babies, but I'm concerned about the ramifications of overturning Roe V Wade. It will open a can of worms that I don't think Christians and other pro-lifers have thought through or are prepared to deal with.

Ending a life is never as good thing regardless of how it came into being.
That said, I would like to see a change in attitude about abortion. I don't believe it should be outlawed but I don't feel that it should be used as a substitute for for birth control.
There are situations that can only be described as tragic. A 13yr old gets pregnant. A woman is raped. Someone is the victim of incest. These are situations where decisions need to be made dependent on a variety of things including the mental and physical health of all concerned. In those situations there will never be a perfect outcome.

I think people that are pro-life think abortion is murder in ANY case. I have never heard pro-lifers claiming that it is okay for someone to abort in case of a rape or insect, they disagree with it in all cases! This is why I am pro-choice. But...the real question is....is why do pro-lifers feel it is okay to bomb abortion clinics and take MANY lives...is this NOT murder. Considering these are planned parenthood clinics...they could be killing woman who were there simply for their pregnancy check up, a pap smear or to pick up birth control. SO, not only are they murdering people for the sake of stopping "murder" (abortion), they are also killing the "innocent babies" they are claiming they want to save. Go figure!!

Well... I believe the same thing... but most people throw my answers to that stuff out strictly because I am not female (does that make them sexist?). Anyway, yes, the abortion is still termination of life/murder. If an impregnated mother by rape was killed on her way to the abortion clinic, the person that caused the wreck would still be charged with an automatic 2 counts of manslaughter even though the mother would have gone to the abortion clinic 10 minutes later anyway. People argue that it is unfair to the woman that is raped to have to go through the pregnancy. Yes, rape is one of the worst injustices possible of committing against a person, but that does not morally give the person a right to murder in return.

I agree, when it comes to abortion, there is no difference.
Many pro-choice promoters would say that it's cruel to force a woman to give birth to a child in this case, but if she truly can't bear the thought of raising this child, she could give it up for adoption. There are many people who would gladly raise the child if they only had the chance.

Because not everyone is the same religion as you, and might not believe that carrying that baby created in a act of hate is something they can handle.
People are all different have will always have different beliefs than you do. So you should probably learn to accept this fact and live your own life while others live theirs the ways they believe are right.
If you can't handle this, maybe you should offer to adopt and raise the child they don't want..... Or do you not really want it either???

Let's start with the assumption that abortion is murder. (Many people would not agree with that, and certainly the law doesn't, but for now, we'll go with your original question.) How do you feel about abortion if the mother's health is at risk? Is it okay to put the mother's physical well-being at risk for the baby's? Isn't each life equally important? If a woman has been raped or is the victim of incest, you have to consider her mental & emotional well-being as well. Perhaps she could not bear the constant reminder of the event that led to the pregnancy. What if the pregnancy led to an irreparable mental, emotional, or psychotic breakdown? Maybe the woman in question should make that decision for herself.

An abortion is an abortion, even if the foetus is conceived through rape or incest. Even if the growing foetus may cause the death of the mother, abortion is still an abortion and it is a sin!!!

Wow some people really to step in someone eles shoes....why should a women who was a act of volience be required to carry a child of someone who commited a crime aganist her. I remember my adult roles teacher said that after you are raped if you go to the hosptial they will you give you a pill to take that greatly reduces your chances of getting pregant. Otherwise it is between God and the woman involved. Some may feel okay with carrying the child others would not. No one has the right to judge anyone because none of us can step in their shoes.

>of course, in such circumstances, there must be an abortion. subsequently, you're professional-selection. no one is going around asserting "omg, abortions are outstanding! everybody ought to have one!" >What the heck is the version, right here? For starters a fetus is the valuables of the mum.

Because the mother was raped; its very simple. It's also acceptable to take a life in self defense. You say "unwanted pregnancy". Sure it may be unwanted, but a chance was taken when you refer to other than rape or incest. In rape or incest the sex act was not chosen
