That is abuse. No one has the right to put their hands on anyone that is technically assault. Abuse can be physical or mental. If you are in an abusive relationship, you need to find help. Usually doesn't get any better only gets worst. You can call your local hotline for abuse women shelters and also consider calling the cops and report the assault so you can file a protection order from this person.

I've seen your other q. I'm sorry that happened to you! Take Pictures of your bruises. Did he have marks on him? Did he call the Police? I don't think it's Abuse only if this has happened before. It is Domestic Violence!! If you were arrested and it's a Mistaminer you could get just counseling or Unsupervised probation. They say jail time to scare you.

To Abuse = to cause harm.
The definition of abuse varies, according to whom or which agency you speak with, concerning legal terminology.
Abuse can be in any of the categories of physical harm, emotional harm, mental abuse, or physical endangerment/neglect.
Strangulation, as you describe is definitely within the abuse category - right next to murder! This is serious, a crime, and by nature endanger's your very life. -- Have nothing more to do with this man!!!, other than to have him arrested. Certainly this man needs to be stopped.

That is abuse! But abuse can be mental as well as physical. Abuse is anything that damages or injures a person (physical or mental), is carried out against their wishes, and is malicious. Anything done to you that you do not want is abuse.

Sweetheart,
That is definitly abuse. Who is doing this to you?! Don't let this happen. Even if he threatens to kill you or someone you love. Call someone, a friend or family member, tell them what's going on. If this isn't happening to you and to a friend, you still need to tell somebody what is happening. You, or your friend, or whoever, need to get away from this person immediatly!!!
