How do i adjust my scanner settings?

my pictures come out really dark, so i need to try and fix it.

When you want to scan an image you connect scanner with usb port,, put image inside scanner and click button to scan right? then on screen you will see some details such as, Color/Black and White?Grey etc.
Photo/Newspaper/Magazine etc.
Size of Paper.
Rotate/up or down etc.

Please click on the setting tab and set as you like.
Or choose color image if you did not then try.
Some time we have to adjust image (if photo)in editing software then print or scan.

Honestly speaking it is very difficult to answer because your question is lack of information, if you need further help send some detail about Scanner/Model/what you want to do. What kind of setting you need etc. Setting of scanner depend on person.
