It's based on the same religion and involves as much faith. They never say a word about practicing satanists. How comes it if their objection to religion is that it is all mythology and superstition that they should feel no need to "debunk" satan worship?

Because only Christians believe in the devil. Satanists do not worship the devil.

Well, first of all, Satanists don't try to put their religion into our schools and government. Second, Satanists don't go around telling you that you're going to be (or deserve to be) severely punished for not believing in their religion. Third, they don't go around condemning other people for reasons that are found in a 2000 year old book that was written by superstitious middle-eastern sheep herders.
They always treat people with respect, until they are put in a position NOT to treat people with respect.

Oh--and "Satanists" and "Devil Worship" are not the same thing. Either way, neither Satanists nor Devil Worshippers affect atheists lives on a daily basis. That's why atheists have no problem with them.

Satanist and Devil-Worship are different.

Satanist reject cruelty to animals and a literal belief in (or worship of) Satan, instead considering Satan as the human instinct within ourselves, which is what LaVeyan Satanism celebrates. He supported a view of human beings as animals, and rejected many social structures that he believed inhibit human instincts.

The Devil Worship you describe is on par with Christianity.

I think the reason you don't see atheist attacking devil worshippers is that devil worshippers don't try to convert atheists and their religion is an affront to the religion that is most vocal against atheists.

You are way over generalizing. I've criticized Satanism before on this site. It's just a topic that doesn't come up much.

I deplore all superstition. But the worst kind is the organized kind with a huge following that tries to change laws to fit its superstition.

An atheist can deny the existence of God because there is no way that a believer can PROVE that there is a God and that he is wrong. In other words, there is no ABSOLUTE proof that can be used to convince him of his error. No one can show him, let him touch and feel, hear, show him a photo of God or ANY proof as he would require. Since no one can prove this to him, then IN HIS MIND, he is correct. Since God represents good and He is not there (in the atheist's eyes) then there is no need for evil. Since good and evil do not exist, then everything that happens is just a meaningless haphazard existence without ANY consequences other than the consequences during the existence. BY THIS OUTLOOK ON EVERYTHING, THE ATHEIST CAN AVOID ALL RESPONSIBLE CODE OF CONDUCT AND IS THEREFORE RELIEVED OF ALL RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR. HE IS WHAT WE WOULD CALL A TRUE EGOMANIAC.

What, dude? Satanists don't worship Satan, that's why. It's a philosophical atheistic religion, and does not encourage the worship of any gods at all.

This would not have been difficult to learn, if you were willing or able to see outside the bubble of your religious delusions.

Most of the Satanists do not really believe in or worship the devil as far as I know. They are more like a bunch of anarchists. But the unharmful part of them, in contradiction to most religions, is that they are rational people that do not want me to believe or do what they believe or do.

Most Satanists don't believe in the devil any more than I do. You really should read their stuff. The name is mostly just to mock you guys. And if they do actually believe in Satan, they are being every bit as silly as Christians.

Happy?

I have met several Satanists, but never one that actually believed in Satan. See what you learn if you actually talk to them.

I feel the same way about satanism as I do any other religion. Only difference is that they don't go around preaching and forcing their views on others because they feel everyone should except satan as the lord. Christianity gets the most attention and I know that you know why. Playing ignorant wont get you any higher on your soap box.

If atheism IS evil how come less than 1% of prisoners are atheists and the other 99+% identify with some sort of religion?

Satanism falls into the same cult category as any other religion. Why do you think atheists are any less against the fairy tale of satan as they are about jesus?

As an atheist for the final 40 six years, i've got not got self belief in any god, neither do i've got self belief in devil, nor angels, nor fairies, nor holy ghosts, nor santaclaus, and that i've got not got self belief there's a heaven or a hell ! additionally .... i do no longer pray, yet I fairly have found out to meditate. Now who believes in devil precisely ?
