I know it may get annoying after a while, but it is no different than the thousands of advertisements on television, billboards, and banners on the computer. They are doing it out of love for others and don't recieve anything from it, so why get angry?

As a Christian we are to spread the gospel but know when to stop if the person isn't receptive.
Because then they get defensive and will not hear what you are trying to say.
A few months ago my mom, aunt and I took a small cruise,3 hours, there was no place for my mom to sit and we had to stand by a bunch of college kids sitting at a table. My mom being a Christian started to talk to a girl about the Lord.
The girl gave my mom her seat. Later they all went on top of the ship to get some sun. When it was time to leave this young lady found my mom and gave her a big hug and said thank you for praying for me.
My point is in our lifetime if we can make a difference in 1 person's life by just praying for someone, or telling someone about Christ, we are doing what God wants us to do.

I can turn off the television (well, actually, I don't watch TV, but you get the idea). I can look away from a billboard or sign. I could even show up to movie theaters after the official "start time" so that I can skip most of the previews (which I've done on occassion).

But Christians don't let you turn around or walk away. Some even have the nerve to knock on my door on a Saturday morning. There's no mute button, no "turn off" option, and "Not interested" doesn't deter them.

It doesn't make me angry, but it is rather annoying.

Good Question. They do it because our Spirits are so different, and satan has dulled their ears and blinded their eyes, and they have a hardened heart towards God, until they are prayed for or God intervenes another way! He Loves us All so much!

2Timothy 4
3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever they want to hear.
4 They will reject the truth

I really don't get angry. I am a nonbeliever who even if there was proof of God's existence would prefer to have no part of him. I never wanted or asked for forgiveness or eternal life which are two of the main points that many Christians wish to speak of. I actually had two Jehovah's witnesses come to my door recently and they gave me their stump speech, I listened respectfully. I instructed them that I have the read the bible in its entirety through my life and then asked them if they have read the satanic bible just to get a view of the other side, they said no it is sinful to do that. I gather my information from all sources not just one. I wish more Christians would do the same!

Because, I can turn off the TV, ignore the billboards, and ignore the banners. But, it is rude to ignore a person, and the only way to tun them "off" is to kill them, and I don't want to do that. Besides, I find it very creepy that someone I don't really know is praying for me, as if they really know me. And, I'll listen to your logic as long as you listen to mine. But, it seems that no matter what I say, you won't consider it as possible, while I take the time to try to understand your views. It's unfair that I'm supposed to instantly embrace the views that I've never been able to understand, and to convert just because "Jesus loves me". It's all fine and dandy that he loves me, but I don't plan on returning his love, because I believe that he is just a normal guy from the past. And to me, Past things are dead things, and dead things are useless things.

No worries. It's not that I specially get annoyed by Christians.

If people on the street would constantly bug me, trying to tell me the Truth of the Seven Dwarfs, i'd get just as annoyed, really.

I'm all for equal rights. I get equally mad at all nonsense being pushed upon me.

I believed why these people are angry with the Christian because the Christians are speaking the truth and they have no answer to question. So to avoid the person(Christian), they show anger as a deterrence!

I'm Wiccan, but I grew up Christian. Now it's like all I hear is everyone telling me my religion is wrong, and that I worship the devil and I will be damned for all eternity just because I don't believe in God anymore. And it's not just Christians, when I was Christian all I heard was how stupid it was of me to believe in God and everything. So it's everyone trying to force THEIR religion down EVERYONE'S throats. I think we should all be tolerant of everyone else's religion and STOP trying to convert others into their religion. Just let them decide what they want to believe!!! ~Eve

The thousands of advertisements on television, billboards, and banners on the computer are not doing it out of love. It's about money, which is pretty much what proselytizing is all about too only you haven't figured that out yet.
Good luck...

As a Catholic Christian, I have never had anyone get angry if I discussed my beliefs. Now if I tried to force it on someone, they might.
