Which group makes a bigger deal about pre-marital sex, gay marriage, Sunday observance, and other matters of morality?

What about in practice? Which group is most religiously devout? Does being Protestant or Catholic make you more or less likely to have premarital sex?

If they were strict on anything, it would be their spiritual blindness and lawlessness. It sure wouldn't be their faith, much less matters of morality!.......http://www.lcg.org/cgi-bin/tw/booklets/print-bk.cgi?action=print_item&category=Booklets1&item=1140203084&print=yes

Catholics definitely make a 'bigger deal' out of premarital sex, gay sex, etc. We openly state it is wrong. I see all the time where protestant churches welcome it. They evenly have openly gay ministers and bishops.

One of the precepts of the Catholic church is that all Catholics are supposed to attend Mass on every Sunday and every holy day- it is mortal sin not to!

As far as practice- THAT falls more to the individual than to the faith itself. The denomination lays down the rules, but inviduals have the free will to accept or reject them.

Catholics may not have more premarital sex- but they do feel more guilty about it =)

I think that Catholicism expects more of a person from a moral standpoint. The Catholic Church has unwavering beliefs about the sanctity of life - it speaks out against abortion, contraception, euthanasia and capital punishment. It speaks out strongly against divorce and premarital & extramarital sex as well as gay marriage. I was raised a Protestant (Methodist) & I became a Catholic in 2001. I LIKE having to meet expectations as far as my faith is concerned. I LIKE knowing that I must attend Mass on the weekend. I LIKE being part of a faith that stands strong on its beliefs. I think that Protestants can be just as faithful to the Word of God but are willing to be more liberal in the things that I have mentioned. I don't believe that any faith makes you more or less likely to have premarital sex. That is strictly up to your and your relationship with the Lord.

Chris R's where have you been all these years? Of course it's the Catholic Church. The Catholic church has been against pre-marital sex, gay marriage, Sunday observance and many other matters concerning morality. These includes, abortion, euthanasia, contraception, divorce, extra-marital sex, masturbation and many many more!

I would have to say Catholics. Most Catholics. Some Protestants and Catholics are about the same, but some Catholics are better than some Protestants and vice versa. But, as a whole, I'd have to go with Catholics.
