Well, I'm an artist who believes the process if far more important than the product.

That said, the United States, as well as in most advanced economies, values the product. I'm not necessarily opposed to this concept since it is the finished products which drive the world economies.

However, when it comes to art , and the invention of new products, it is the process which is MOST important.

I do not know how you HARMONIZE the two -- it is just way TOO politically correct a term for my philosophical point of view when it comes to the new and ingenious.

c children need to create what they are feeling and experienceing in the world. When they are of such a young age this is mastered through play, whether it be art materails, building with blocks, or riding a tricycle. Product only sells the feling for the parent. In the end it is the child who is going to be happy with the process. When the child is happy then the parent is happy equalling the director of the school who will in turn make her teachers happy and that will be effective on the child. It is a very good cycle.

C. A center that wanted children to be able to reflect themselves in their art would be more concerned with the process that it took to make the art than the end result (product) of the art. Children would be encouraged to use art materials in a variety of ways, and no two art pieces would look the same. It is about self-expression, not results.
