Like if I were to be gone for a month, and I wanted the Christians to pray for traveling mercies for me, would that be alright?
Would you do that for me?

Why do you're able to desire to? Are you asserting you're no longer righteous? For the valuable fervent prayer of a righteous guy availeth plenty. then you fairly basically elect one righteous guy? what's the occasion of Scripture? The Syrophoenician female who does not be positioned off did no longer ask others to wish for her. Neither the centurion who in basic terms mandatory the word spoken. Neither the father of the son with a dumb spirit who pleaded, Lord, i've got confidence; help thou mine unbelief. Neither the widow and the unrighteous choose. Abraham pleaded for finished cities, Moses for an entire human beings, and Daniel... elect i bypass on? Do you notice what's being stated? those basic human beings did no longer would desire to invite others or church homes or have prayer chains etc. they only had the religion of a mustard seed and went directly to the Lord. And shall no longer God avenge his very own elect, which cry day and night unto him, however he undergo long with them? I inform you that he will avenge them promptly. nonetheless while the Son of guy cometh, shall he locate faith on the earth? do we twist God’s arm at the back of His back if we gang up on Him? And if all of us would desire to gang up on Him while there's a disaster what does that say approximately our on a regular basis existence? Lived with out Him? David learnt to slay Goliath on an identical time as looking after the sheep regular. Or do we detect, acquire God’s will from Him? What do you think of? And that's the arrogance that we've in him, that, if we ask any element in accordance to his will, he heareth us: And if all of us be conscious of that he hear us, in any respect we ask, all of us be conscious of that we've the petitions that we would have liked of him. do we do something with out Him? So what's His will right here? Shall He locate faith certainly.

No, it's not against the rule for you to ask for prayer. The apostle Paul wrote letters to the church asking them to pray that he would recieve strenghth to preach the gospel as he ought to. So, there is definitely nothing wrong with asking for prayer.

I'm not religious but I have no problem with you posting requesting a prayer. I do have a problem with people telling me they are going to pray for me, though.

Of course. I pray the Lord will look after you, that He will put a hedge of thorns around you, that you will be safe everywhere you go, in Jesus' name.
