How far can you go into a tunnel?
Only half way - then you're coming out of the tunnel.

If you enter a tunnel - it's your entrance. If in fact it turns out to be the exit, it will still be your entrance - and your final exit at the same time.

If you are not sure, park on the side of the road until night. Then if you see white headlights, you know it is an exit. If you see red tail lights you know it is an entrance. However, if there is a problem in the tunnel the red lights may be cars backing out and then it too would be an exit. So there is no way you can be 100% certain. By the way, white is the color of the Sun when you stare at it ; red is the color of your eyelids when you stare at the Sun with your eyes closed, provided that you do that before you stare at the Sun with your eyes open.
