Find a non denominational church. And read and study the Bible (king james version) pray and ask the Lord to help you learn about him and to find a good church.

Study the Bible very much this will help you learn and also help you to know if you found the right church. If they don't line up than find another.

If you should happen to live in northern Arkansas email me and I can give you a few church names.

i think its great you want to learn more about the bible! Remember don't choose a church based on the bells and whistles, the shows or productions, the "things". Remember how Jesus taught and what he taught about when he was on the earth. He taught about God's Kingdom, and also told his apostles/diciples to go out and preach to others, about what? About God's Kingdom. Thats what the whole Lords Prayer that so many know and pray for. That model prayer is about praying for God's Kingdom to come here to earth to solve the problems and get rid of the sickness and death that plague mankind now.

You need to find a place that teaches about that Kingdom and what it will do for you. Remember that Jesus made his faith and belief a way of life, as did his followers. Remember they left the things (practices) they were doing to imitate him and become his followers.

Remember the types of people that Jesus threw out of the temple and how he did not praise those "magic practicing priests" and threw the money changers out of the temple. Jesus was against idol worship and if you've looked at different accounts in the Bible, so many were killed for not putting their worship in the true God.

Learning God's Name will be the first step in how you go about your search. Remember that it's not about finding a church. A way of life and learning what the Bible really has to offer you as a way of hope for you and your family is so much more than just going to church on Sunday for an hour or so.

Try looking into Catholicism. Your confusion reminds me of the great Saint, St. Augustine.
He wanted to know the truth so badly. He was so confused, and so angry because he just didn't know. He wanted so badly to know what was true, and if God was really The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, ruler and maker of all.
One day, as he was walking in a garden, holding the Bible in his hand, he heard a child's voice coming from a distant house, saying, "Tolle et lege! Tolle et lege!"
Which meant, "Take and read! Take and Read!"
He opened the Bible, and read the first thing he saw.
I'm quite rusty on the story now, but I know it was so powerful, that he fell to his knees, and asked God for forgiveness because he had not seen that He was the one true God before.
Puck up the Bible and read it a bit if you ever get the chance. If you really want to find a religion, He will show you.

It's all about the people. Go talk to some people you love. People you respect. People you want to be like when you grow up. Find out what they believe.

Jesus said, "Father, I desire that they (his people) would be one even as you and I are one." Research the lifestyles of the people involved. That is where real success comes from. Go find a couple of your heroes and ask them what they believe and why.

I'm not saying you should be a follower, I'm just saying life was meant to be lived with other people.

One of the weaknesses of our society is that we try to do everything by ourselves. All the way to creating our own religion by ourselves.

Life's a lot more fun when you have people to laugh about it with. Good luck!

I as quickly as wrote somebody to ask those 5 questions: a million.Does the call of your Church point out you're In Christ? Jesus reported that those saved could be in His call (Acts 4:12) and no different. Paul reported that no person is saved in his call (I Cor 3:5-6); yet on the instant many churches declare to be of the call of a secular founder, a doctrine or a technique of prepare. The very be conscious 2.Does the beginning of your Church point out you're In Christ? Many churches are the effect of the Protestant reformation or much extra moderen American historic previous. Jesus reported people that worship him gain this in Spirit and in reality (John 4:22-24). Jesus promised that once he left this earth the Spirit of reality could come to the apostles (John sixteen:12-sixteen). In Acts 2, that Spirit is made clean, and the Church replaced into typical. Many churches are consistently searching for funds every time they meet; new homes, new courses, new desires. Many churches look extra interested in funds than in the rest. You start right now.
GOD listens to all prayers. So say a prayer and ask GOD to lead you.
Look around your neighborhood and visit the churches closest to your home. Do not get tied up in choosing the denomination yet.
If you do not have a Bible - then buy one or ask any church to give you one. Start reading the book of John.
You have joy and peace and grace and everlasting life to gain.

hard to say, God still has to point me out to one to. I have had lots of spiritual experiences at the Pentecostal Church. I've had Uncontrollable weeping when the holy spirit fell upon me. There still is speaking in tongues. And as a prophecy was coming down when I was visiting a church in Edmonton, The holy spirit fell upon me and I was holy, and My heart was jumping in a joy full dance. The Lord has also spoken to me in this church.

You can start by visiting local churches during their Sunday Services. I also encourage you to talk to the ministers and ask them questions. Additionally, find a King James Version Bible and start reading it. If the whole book seems daunting, you can start with the New Testament.

Don't be afraid to start praying now. God's listening. You can ask God for guidance in finding a church and for wisdom as you read the Bible.

I'll pray for you tonight.

Which God? There's thousands of them.

You don't need to base your beliefs around a religion. If you simply want to feel like you have a personal relationship with a God, that's possible without going to a church.
