Tickets depend on the attittudes of the driver and not on the type of vehicle.

Speeding tickets for a 22 month period in a suburban area were examined to determine the possible relationships among the percentage of speed over the speed limit, the age and color of the car, and the age and gender of the driver. The frequencies of speeding tickets by car color were also compared with the frequencies of cars on the road by colors. The percentage of speed over the limit was not related to the characteristics of the cars or the drivers. It was found, however, that red, grey, and brown cars were more likely to receive speeding tickets than cars of other colors. A previous conclusion that bright colored cars give the impression of speed, which results in a higher estimation of actual velocity, was not supported by the present study.

I heard some where that red vehicles of any kind get the most speeding tickets, probably just because the color catches the eye more than others. Red sports cars, I believe, were singled out as the worst.

I haven't heard of any official studies about it... but my brother in law is a cop and has told me that they do have a natural tendancy to keep an eye on the sports cars and red or bright yellow cars. Sports cars for obvious reasons... and red or bright yellow ones just because they stand out from the crowd more than the neutral black/tans/silvers and white cars.

Hope it helps

There are studies out there. I am sure you will have to hunt pretty hard to find them. Or maybe your insurance company can tell you. Red cars get more tickets. These cars stand out to the police. I remember reading that a while ago.

i have heard red is the colour likely to get regarded at. It catches eyes more beneficial than different colours. Plus sporty automobiles are made for going quickly, so as that they are going to continually get a touch extra interest, because you for sure would not purchase a activities motor vehicle in case you probably did not favor to get regarded at.

My son has a red firebird & every time he's out in it he gets pulled over at least once. He's friend has a red mustang & he gets pulled over also every time he's out. So, he has quite driving his mustang & his mom drives it & she gets pulled over also. She has made sure that she is going the speed limit. They just ask her for her id & then let her go. So, I WOULD SAY ANY RED SPORTS CAR......

I don;t think there was any study done but it does seem, from my own experience, that old model cars that are red usually get targeted. Also women get targeted more than men.
