Okay, I had a really bad tooth { molar } i went and got it removed after 2 maybe 3 years FINALLY. Im really scared of the dentist and the reason i got it fixed was because of my jaw. and that was last monday. i got really scared. if you feel that area that curves for your jaw, mine goes up more and is getting thinner then my other jaw . DOES NOT HURT. and lately, its been getting thinner. I asked my doctor this when he pulled my tooth the other day and he said it could possible be my wisdom teeth and he didnt even seem that he was worried at all. he even took a full xray of my jaw line even with my teeth. so what do i do.? i know this is not normal. please someone help me. if you have any questions please go to my profile page and click on email me. please i need to know. thank you

a Panorex xray will show normal and adnormal bone density.he may not have seen anything on it that looked abnormal. what do you actually mean by "getting thinner"?most people's right side of their body is larger than the left side. but if it continues to worry you-go get a 2nd opinion.always a smart thing to do if a concern is not addressed to your satisfaction

The reason he was probably not concerned is that not all wisdom teeth require intervention and/or pulling.

1) You can get a copy of your x-rays sent to another dentist and get a second opinion.

2) You can talk to your family doctor about what it might be. If they aren't able to answer your questions or diagnose it ask for a referral to an orthopedic specialist.

If this concerns you, you should get a second opinion, either from another dentist or a doctor.
