They will start the race from lap one tomorrow. They canceled the race for two reasons.

Obviously, the rain had a lot to do with it. But NASCAR will do a whole lot to try and get the race in on it's scheduled day. This is one of the reasons a lot of the bigger tracks have lights (that's right folks, I can remember when 99% of the races were run in the daytime).

The biggest reason was that because of RIR's location near a housing development (it's in the 'burbs), there's a 2AM curfew on all events at the track.

NASCAR did not feel like it could get the track dry once the rain stopped AND get all 400 laps in before the curfew.

They can't race in the rain. What I really don't like is that they ran all those laps under caution. They should start the Sunday race from lap one and not let Saturday's laps count.

Well said Rouseybrent! You beat me to the punch. It's poor spellers like this that make people believe that NASCAR is a sport for uneducated rednecks.

So, please, if you're going to ask a question, try and use a little better spelling. Mistakes are common, and understandable. But, some people are absolutely ridiculous.

I agree!! I work, so I will miss it. I hate rain-outs! Last time I missed a race was last year when Atlanta rained out in the Spring.
