are those gold-dipped roses worth the $$?

Has anyone bought one of these? I want something really cool for my mom but this year I'm drawing a complete blank. my brother doesn't think the rosewould be worth the $$...

Only if your mother wants one - personally I find them beyond tacky and very juvenile but everyone is different. If it is her taste than go with it. That being said a personal note/poem/letter and a fresh floral arrangement would be my preference. Good Luck!
