I get the same thing, and I believe it has to do with the conflict between what your eyes are seeing and what your body is feeling. When they don't match, you get queasy. If you keep your eyes on the road, it helps.

I feel nauseous with anxiety. I don't get carsick, I can read in the car and feel fine. For me it is nerves, I hate driving long distance and I hate being a passenger because I'm not in control. Very sickly feeling but much different from motion sickness. Pick up a bottle of rescue remedy and use a few drops just before your journey to help calm your nerves.

I get car sickness pretty badly whenever I get in a car, unless I am driving. Keeping a window cracked usually gets fresh air flowing, which helps. There is also a motion-sickness pill you can buy at the drug store which might help, too. I know if I'm too hot or the person is a really jerky driver that doesn't help.

Yea that happens to me, you are probably getting motion sickness.

Basically, motion sickness results from a conflict between the eye and ear: the inner ears detect that the car is moving, but the eyes-- focused within the car-- do not. The brain gets conflicting signals, and nausea results.

Its pretty normal.

Sounds like you may be suffering from some anxiety. Take deep breaths and concentrate on something other than the trip. Engage in conversation with someone in the car or think of some topic to fill your head with...your favorite vacation or something like that. Also listen to some music.

I got that way whenever my father got behind the wheel of our car, why?because of the crazy chances he took, hed speed, make wrong turns and pass stop signs.I know this isnt nice to say but recently he had a bad fall and got a hematoma on his brain, the doctors drained the accsess blood from his brain and he was in the hospital for a month, the physical therapist told me( secretly) that dad cannot drive anymore.what a relief!!

Lib,
It could be a number of things. Maybe your doc could give you something before you leave home. Good luck
