I just read this news article (for reference, it took 2 seconds to find. It is harder to find an article about water than this) I think this priest is a hero and should be applauded for continuing the good christian tradition of kiddy rape.

I am so glad these are the people you freaks (aka christians) believe will help you to a euphoric (HA HA HA HA) afterlife

A reflection....
Are you a moron? Catholicism is one of the sects (I mean cults) of the christian organization

OH MY GOD! I just peed myself laughing.

Only 17 kids have complained of being raped. ONLY???? If 17 came forward imagine how many are too ashamed to say anything because it is rare a male would admit to being violated. So, MEG what you are saying is more like 1700 have been raped. Because only 1 out of 100 males (at best) would admit to this happening. Us boys (even though we should speak up) are trained to keep our mouths shut.

You cannot pass judgment on all Catholic people for the actions of some! If that were true, what would you say about those Catholics who really make a difference in the world because of their great love for Christ? Like Mother Teresa? I am not a Catholic, but my grandmother was. She loved Jesus with all her heart, and because of that love she wanted to reach out to children who had nothing at home to eat. She started cooking and feeding poor children right out of her own kitchen! Please do not pass judgment on everyone for the actions of some! For those that victimized children, it is a terrible thing to incur the wrath of the Almighty!

"Continuing"? As the article states, the man alleges this happened "more than a decade ago" ("the late 1980s and early '90s").

In the United States in 2006, only 17 minors said they had been molested by a Catholic priest:

"Only 17 of the people who came forward with complaints last year were younger than 18."

Why is it that the main purveyors of hate in this world are the so-called Christians? I don't hate anyone but I dislike a few. It was my impression that Christianity taught love, tolerance and compassion. By those rules, the truest Christians I know are some Catholics and Anglicans among the Christian religions. I also know many atheists who are more Christian than many of the self-styled Christians.

If youre looking for actual Christians to come to their defense, you could be waiting awhile. We dont believe that Mary was the MOTHER OF SALVATION, was herself sinless, and a prayer icon.

With that being said, I dont see that as much of an argument against Christianity even if we did think Catholicism was great. The Bible teaches clearly not to do so or you recieve eternal punishment. Jesus said literally it would be better right now to go out to sea and tie a millstone to your neck and jump overboard. Your punishment in the afterlife will be much more severe if you lead astray and hurt children.

That is truly sad. There is an old legal maxim that justice must not only be done but it must be seen to be done.
This case satisfies neither of those points.
