The U.S. has several commando units, because everyone wants to be a commando. Even the different police have several versons of the commando units. Historically they Mexican commandos are more like SWAT (special weapons and tactics) and the FBI.
There is nothing like the Green Berets in the world. Probably the closest organization is Al Qaeda. Their job is to train the natives to attack the enemy in the area. They are primary teachers and can speak any language in about 3 to 6 weeks worth of training.
