I guess it depends on why they get a divorce. But, not as a rule, no. At least, not that I know of.

If they cheated or were gay or got a baby aborted or question the general authorities while the divorce was going on, then they would be disfelleowshipped/excommunicated. Most of the Mormons in my community did not divorce even tho I thought they should. Very few did, but it was known to happen. ex-mormon.

It depends on the circumstances of the divorce. The Church is a lot easier of people who divorce then they were years ago. I'm Mormon and I wasn't excommunicated when I got divorced. And take people like Marie Osmond who is an active Mormon, she's going through her second divorce and won't be excommunicated.

No. My mother is a member and divorced. She wasn't disfellowshipped.

I don't think so. My aunt is a Mormon and she's divorced.
