No, not at all. Perhaps she was a bit passionate about some things, but too bad. Most people do blame God for all their troubles instead of saying "Thanks". Most people are too selfish and think they are so good. Christians do understand that we are not perfect and in need of a Savior, that is a blessing to us. It's there for all people everywhere the love of God and folks chose to ignore it. She has a good point.

Though I am not a Christian, I feel embarrassed for them anyways. Not all of them are that self-righteous. My Christian friends always make it a point to remind me that people like this don't represent the intelligent, educated Christians out there. The funny thing is, I already know this, so they really didn't need to remind me. My friends are all among that intelligent, educated group; otherwise, we wouldn't truly be friends.

No. It is the sinful nature.

Remember Eve and the Serpent in the Garden of Eden?

The one prophecy of Satan which has come true.

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

I'm a Pagan... a witch to be exact. The "question" she posted makes me sad because I know plenty of good Christians and she definately doesn't sound like one of them. I think she needs to do deeper studying before she rants like that and for all the Christians out there who read this- you shouldn't be embarrassed if you don't think the same way because that wasn't you who wrote it.

Not a Christian, but I've known several that believe on this line. They are truly misguided.

The fact that they don't go out and truly try to find out why people don't believe in the Bible only pushes the people they are trying to convert farther away.

Pride IS what fuels atheism. Everything she said was true except for Christians deserving Gods grace. Nobody deserves. The only reason we get it is because we respond in faith.

Sadly enough, many Christians do not even understand WHY this would be embarrassing to them. They actually DO think it's all about our ego.

I think the childish arguments that are fought between the atheist and Christians serve NO purpose. It is the same with the racist arguments. Questions are not asked to seek knowledge. They are asked to mock and judge. This is helpful to no one.

Well I thought it was sort of funny. Partly because it wasn't really a question, partly because it was a sermon, but mainly because it was so judgmental.

It would be unfair to say that all Christians are like that, though.

Yes, but I always remember to say: Forgive them, Lord, they don't know what they are doing. It helps me not to cringe and to accept that unfortunately there's not much you can do about people like that.
