The best place to start is the FAFSA form. You will be an indepdendent student status because you are married. It is one of the conditions. The amount given is based on a percentage of your income, your wife's income, and savings. It also takes into consideration the number of people in your household. It will provide you the Pell Grant (if you qualify), college scholarships, and student loans. I recommend seeking outside scholarships just to be on the safe side. I will list some free resources to locate money to attend college.

First, the college's financial aid office and website has a list of private scholarships offered from outside organizations and companies. Sometimes a college major's website will list scholarships, too.

Second, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Finally, I recommend joining several free membership scholarship search websites. There are scholarships for a variety of things including ethnicity, clubs, hobbies, and even wearing duct tape to the high school prom. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered onto a form on the website.

Good luck!

you have to fill out the fafsa and indicate on there that you are financially dependent on your husband...if you are unsure of how to do that, go to your college's financial aid office and make an appointment to see a financial aid counselor

---indicate on the fafsa that you are interested in loans

fill out your FAFSA and apply for a stafford loan. look for grants. research scholarships you can apply for online. this all takes a decent amount of work but if you're dedicated you can do it.
