The answer is 42. The question is, will you spend all of your days hunting an answer or living your life?

Computers are not able to do anything intellegent. They are just adding machines. That's why they came up with 42.

Now mice, they are a whole different matter. If you asked the mice what the ultimate question of life is, you'd probably get the answer (or the ulitmate question).

And that answer would be...

Sorry, got to go, run out of chocolate.

'best computer in the world " is still dumb comparing to human brain.

However, on the advance of software :Quote :
"It's based on work by Stephen Thaler, who came to prominence 10 years ago with his brainchild the Creativity Machine. This is software for generating new ideas on the basis of existing ones, and it has already written music, designed soft drinks, and discovered novel minerals that may rival diamonds in hardness..."
combining with Quantum computer - We may have the Machine Brain rivals or exels Human Brain in 20 years !!!

Even so - the Machine Brain may NOT be able to answer the 'ultimate question to life' - e.g. Where are we from and Where are we going ?
The proof is Godel Theorem

Cheers

The question is "What do you get when you multiply six by nine?".

These seems like a paradox until you realize that in base-13,
6 (base-13) x 9 (base-13) = 42 (base-13)

4x13 + 2 = 54

It seems that God has 13 fingers and forgot to mention it. This explains his final message to Creation: "We apologize for the inconvenience."

We already know the ultimate question. We ask it everyday, and though it seems it has been answered it hasn't. It goes on forever. "why"

I think the ultimate question ended up being "What is 6x9", which is mathematically inconsistent with "the answer".
