If they don't feel like eating it right then, they might scrape at the floor and try to bury their dish. Why?

Cat's like to hide their food to keep other predators from finding it. Hiding food is just a cats instinct. If you watch the discovery channel you will see the female lion hide her food in a tree to keep other predators from finding it.

A lot of animals store their food somewhere.
It's usually because they want to save it until later or because they're hiding it from other animals.

Because they aren't hungry right than and they don't want other things to get it like raccoon.
