My cat's seem to seek me out and want attention and love but do they love me or just like me because I am warm and give them food?

I think my cats love me because they sleep with me at night. I can't pet them when I'm asleep, so I know it's not all about the affection I give them. They just like to be close to me.

they like you because you are warm and give them food. But I had cats that would kill a mouse and offer it to me as a gift so they do have some loyalty.

Animals react by their senses, especially dogs. They can feel our energy or aura, so if you're giving off positive energy you're attracting the same type of energy. Cats and Dogs love their masters unconditionally even if you stopped feeding them. They can sense danger or when you're unhappy, or when people are scared of them.

Cat's only care about themselves. The only reason cat's come to you to be pet because they like to own you. Thats why I own dogs.

Does it nuzzle you or purr when you pet it? That's just some of the ways they say "I love you".
