Were the nephilim, giants of old, real?

This could certainly shed some light on why ancient cultures from around the world speak of giants and men/beast hybrids.

Goliath was one. The Bible says they are real. Israelites fought a country full of giants. Some angels left their first abode and mixed with the daughters of men and these were the men of renown in the Bible.

In Genesis Chapter 6:4-9 we get an account of the nephilim (giants) and the condition of the earth during Noah's time

4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown. 5 The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. 6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. 7 So the LORD said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them." 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. 9 This is the account of Noah.

Christ also said that in the last days, it would be as it was in the time of Noah. This gives some credence to those who see UFO's and UFO abductions as relating to this.

Quite real. The Nephilim were an antediluvian race (pre-flood) race which are referred to in the Bible as giants. They were reportedly the children born from the "daughters of men'', and the "Sons of God''. It is most important to note that they are mentioned almost simultaneous to God's statement that He would destroy the earth by flood, and it seems from this association that their affect upon mankind was one of the primary justifications that brought the destruction.

They say they actually found a giant skeleton once,
but covered it up. Since it didn't go along with what science wanted to think. Supposedly, museum warehouses are full of things they can't fit into they way they say things were.
Some claim man/animal creatures actually existed. As the spirits originally got trapped in the material evel by living inside animals to see what it was like. But hung around too long, and our spirit bodies became crystalized by the forces of Creation, or made more solid-like.
The Book of Romans says, "When they knew God they worshipped Him not as God, but became vain, and turned the incorruptible, (eternal), image of God, into the corruptible, (temporary), image of man AND BEASTS!" Isaiah mentions satyrs and unicorns. KJV. In the 30s chapters somewhere I think.
There was even a Devonshire Devil in modern times. It made tracks for miles throught the snow. The tracks looked like a two-legged goat. (Satyr).

If u learn the Hebrew or Arabic language, u'll learn how this word 'Nephilim' when broken down describes what they really were. From the root word 'nafal' which means 'fallen'. The 'im' denotes plurality in the language thus it was saying that they were fallen angels.

Religious people claim angels are spirits but the bible never said so nor can they prove it. These being did have sexual relationships with human women and later had children by them which could only mean that they are physical and carry a genetic code compatable to ours as human. Basically they were extraterrestrials who bred with us.

Actually the word Nephilim doesn't exist in the KJV Bible. I searched several concordances and checked out the references given here and there is not one mention of that word.

In the Torah and several non-canonical Jewish and early Christian writings, nephilim (Hebrew, הנּפלים, those causing others to fall) are a people created by the crossbreeding of the sons of God (b'nei elohim, בני האלהים) and the "daughters of men".[1] The word nephilim is loosely translated as giants (maybe intellectual and not in physical size) or titans in some translations of the Bible, and is left as nephilim in others.

If one studies the root word (lpn, which is transliterated as naphal), nephilim could be read as "the fallen ones" or "those who were cast out" [2]. This fits in well with traditional beliefs that satan and his followers (fallen angels, or demons) were cast out of Heaven and were active on Earth. Therefore, these "sons of God" (fallen angels) were attempting to breed with human women.

Yes, they were real. It is one theory that they were possibly fallen angels. Goliath, from the Bible, is believed to have been an offspring of the Nephilim (sons of God, frequently angles are referred to as such) and daughters of men (like you and I, human & human bred). So the Nephilim would have bred with human women producing giant like persons. Some believe Neanderthals were also this breed.

It is a VERY controversial issue...but i do although 90% of churches reject this view.
This view will dictate your whole view of the new testament.
In Genesis it use the terms "Sons of God" which in Hebrew is almost only used for Angels...

I have read that they were actually a highly advanced race from a planet in this solar system that has an orbit so large, that one of their years equals 3600 of ours. They are mentioned extensively in Sumerian records, and in great detail. They were also depicted in Sumerian artwork! I first learned about them from reading books by Zacharia Stitchen! These are fascinating books, and yes I do believe they existed, and had the technology to manipulate DNA! *sm*

Actually the Hebrew word 'Nephilim' means 'Fallen One' ,which is what the angels who followed Satan (Lucifer) were.They chose the daughters of men (Gen. 6) and created these strange Hybrid giants and other weird creatures.Ancient Jewish historian Flavius Josephus says in his 'Antiqueties' that these creatures were what the Greek Pantheon was based on.They are also one of the main reasons God flooded the earth to get rid of them.
