I'm been homeschooled for most of high school because I move around alot and im a senior. A kid from my elementary school who i keep in touch with asked me to his senior prom..I haven't seen him since like the 6th grade. From stories i hear he's a tad on the crazy side and he's always had a crush on me. That's why he asks me every year. Even though i live in a different state.. My sister has a recital the same day as his prom so i'd be in town anyway? Should i say yes?? I think i would feel weird not knowing anyone..but it is the only time i would get to go to prom..and i'm not the biggest fan of dancing..is it really worth it?? Plus i might feel weird if he tried anything. I just like him as a friend. I'd also have to take off for work. but thats not too big of a deal. I just don't want to feel like i would regret it if i said no. Any input?

Darlin, I loved my prom its one of the best times of your life. You will always remember it no matter where you were schooling.

This guy may well like you but you have a 'say' you decide whats right for you don't feel pressurised by him. If he tries anything then its probably wise to tell him and break it to him gently that you want to be friends. Just go to let your hair down, have a laugh with your mates. If you don't know anyone well make some more friends broaden your social life.

I cudnt dance but once people have a few beers inside of them no1 cares.

Besides its always nice to do something out of the ordinary, so go on boost your confidence have a good night your worth it;)

If he really likes you he would probably skip the prom and go to a restraunt with you in town so you can enjoy your time and not tap your feet to the wrong beat, Or you could go to make him happy, snap the photos and head on out to a restraunt or a movie together. Do what you think is best, No one is forcing you.
