have the brakes checked,.....................newer vehicles have a sensor in the master cylinder that when the brakes wear, the fluid level drops and it makes the light on the dash come on and stay on even when parking brake is released. This is to warn you that the brakes are wearing down. You can simply add fluid, however this is not the right way to fix the problem. The propper thing is to simply have the brakes replaced, when the pistons are pushed into the calipers the fluid will retreat back through the lines and thus turning the light off. Thank You, Rob in PA.

Hey.. I may be wrong although I had the same problem on a mustang.. 3 things to look at. 1, sensor In the fuse box In the hood compartment. 2. bad connection In those areas "eg" ground, and finally there Is a little brake switch box that connects to the brake peddle It self. That box easily breaks apart due to short wires that stretch and tear. That was my problem, so I just spliced the main wire for slack sake, and I never had that problem again. As far as the blinker, I hate to tell you, but It might be the actual bar It self, and It Isn't cheap. Oh" by the way, I got a ticket for that and I didn't even know I was driving with no brake lights. Good luck In your endeavors.. Steve NYC

There is a switch up on the pedal bracket . Check to see if it came loose and lost its adjustment or the switch itself is bad.
When properly adjusted it depresses when you push on pedal and the light comes on . If it has backed out on adjustment the plunger comes out causing light to stay on

grab the emergency brake pedal and pull up on it. sometimes the pedal don't come all the way up to disengage the switch that turns your brake light on.
