You mean, for instance, scan a wedding certificate and change the date, or scan a driver's license and change the age?
Sure.
You'll need to use Adobe software to do it.

Not sure what you're trying to do. When you scan a document, you've got a picture of the document. The only editing you can do is graphic.
If you use an OCR (optical character recognition) program, you can convert the image into an editable document, then you can do edits to it like in Word and save it as a document, not an image.
But, this sounds like you're making a duplicate of the document, so why not just save a copy of the original and change the file name?

no and it is VERY naughty to do that!
If you scan a document and then run it through and OCR programme and save it with 'formatting preserved' the scanned document can look exactly like the original except it is NOW editable. On a PC use a scanner, OCR programme, if it is originally in microsoft word then you need word if it were originally in pdf then you need adobe acrobat. On a Mac scan snap scanner, save directly to pdf format, run the pdf through 'Runiris 11', save directly as an editable pdf.

NO!
How can it look the same if you change it?
It can look similar, but not the same.
You can make a similar looking document if you have the same font on your computer that was used to create the original document.

Yes, if when you scan it, you edit it on the programme you typed it on. for example, if you typed it on microsoft word then scanned it and edited on microsoft word then yes. why do you want to know-it sounds dodgy because why would you need to scan it, shouldn't it be saved on your hardrive of your computer?

hi, for Mac i take advantage of a attempt software, which already contains textual content cloth popularity (OCR). It also improves attempt effective, downsize the training, etc. i take advantage of ExactSCAN specialist, with OCR already equipped in, after I attempt on Mac to RTF, f.e., it quite is immediately away editable.
