If I fail, will it go on my permanent record?

1) a, but hardly conclusive evidence.
2) "a tentative theory about the natural world; a concept that is not yet verified but that if true would explain certain facts or phenomena"
3) Depends on whether scientists have made the correct assumptions about the ratio of mother isotope to daughter isotope at the time the fossil died, among other factors.
4) It is impossible to prove (in the scientific sense) anything that happened in the past, thus one has to weigh the evidence for and against a claimed event.
5) Either b or c. Intelligent design does not deny the possibility of evolutionary changes, only that all living things came from a common ancestor.
6) it is more likely that intelligence, consciousness, order, information, etc. came from a being that has these attributes than a mechanistic universe that has none of them, and therefore does not have them to give. (Note that I said "more likely", not "definite".)

1. c- the other three can't be "proven" at all
2.d- that's why it's a theory, not a fact.
3.c-not sure what radiometric dating is but it sounds pretty scientifical. LOL
4. a- but it's not possible to prove EVERYTHING that's happened in the past.
5.c or d. Even though I don't believe that man evolved from a monkey, it doesn't mean that evolution doesn't exist at all. Species grow and change and adapt through the years, and lose things that are not useful to them given their environment.
6. c. I'm willing to believe that one may exist, because I have yet to be convinced without a doubt that there isn't a God. There's no proof either way.

1[A] a theory which is ok with only evidence...
Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? The existence of the earth is irrelevant to whether it has gravity or not...

2 [A] A proposed explanation whose status is still conjectural, in contrast to well-established propositions that are regarded as reporting matters of actual fact.

3[B] Radiometric dating A method for determining the age of an object based on the concentration of a particular radioactive isotope contained within it. For [inorganic materials], such as rocks containing the radioactive isotope rubidium, the amount of the isotope in the object is compared to the amount of the isotope's decay products (in this case strontium). The object's approximate age can then be figured out using the known rate of decay of the isotope.

Carbon dating is For [organic materials], the comparison is between the current ratio of a radioactive isotope to a stable isotope of the same element and the known ratio of the two isotopes in living organisms. Carbon dating is Radiocarbon dating is one such type of radiometric dating. The determination of the approximate age of an ancient object, such as an archaeological specimen, by measuring the amount of carbon 14 it contains. Fossils are not organic!

4[A] Self explained as it would still only be a theory with the answer being [proved], which is to establish the truth or genuineness of, as by evidence or argument, it is still only a theory. It is possible to prove it, but that does not mean it is true. It is possible to prove it, but impossible to prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt !

5[C] Self explained as a theory which is ok with probably

6[B] This would be a theory which is ok with probably...
Over 70% of the people of the earth believe in a God.
Added note: Only a supernatural being can explain such concepts as eternity, and infinite time, and infinite space...
